One World
As part of our Citizenship project, One World, we explore different countries.
We believe that by looking in to different countries, their beliefs, values, entertainment, history, religion and their art, that we will gain a deeper understanding of the world around us; making us much more diverse and accepting of others.
This page will showcase the different cultures we have studied and fascinating facts we have discovered.
First Half Term - America
Students have enjoyed learning about the USA and have found certain aspects really interesting.
At Appleton, students took part in Beliefs and Values lessons which taught about different religions, laws and the prison systems.
In Film and Music, students at Appleton created a timeline showing a decade of American Film and Music. This started from 1900 showing the rise of silent films and moving pictures, up to the 2000s which represents a time of various tastes and genres.
